This is part of a month-long series that my teen daughter and I are writing about her life and learning to live with epilepsy. To start at the beginning, click here.

Beth and I both like Cathy Zielske's present participle list so Beth decided to blog today about things that are making her happy right now. We're both so glad it's Friday. 🙂

Playing my cello because it sounds pretty and my mind and my body working together is something that feels great. You don't have to think about anything else when you play. Your head is in your music.

Listening and playing with my orchestra is much more fun than playing by myself! All the different sounds are combined so you can also listen to all of the sounds coming together.

Reading makes me very happy because I can put myself in someone else's world and it's very interesting to be able to put my feet in someone else's shoes.

Relaxing on the weekends means I get to binge-watch my favorite TV shows, shower and do facials, practice cello, sing, and blare music in my room.

Listening to One Direction and 5 Seconds of Summer because their songs are so upbeat and happy and that makes me happy, too.

Laughing with new friends at school and making up nicknames for each other. M and J and I are the Three Musketeers.

Texting my friend, R. We come up with secret code names for each other for – she's Soft Blanket and I'm Pink Muffin.

Eating homemade popcorn that my Dad got from a farmer that he helped with legal work. I love to pop it, melt the butter, and put salt on it. Ooooooh, it's good!
