I was born on January 7th. 48 years ago. That would be in the 60s, kids. Laugh all you want. But I'm still your momma and I'll use these photos to embarrass you as much as I can.
I can't believe I'm posting these photos but here you go. Evidence that I've made it to my 48th birthday. Gulp. That's a big number. With an even bigger number coming in two years. Almost impossible to believe. What made me really laugh today was that neither of my parents wanted to say the number out loud because they had a hard time believing they had a daughter this old. Me, too, Mom and Dad. Me, too.
So have some silly selfies that my daughter dared me to post. Because I'm gonna get old whether I laugh at myself or whether I cry. And I'd rather laugh, especially if it makes my kids laugh, too.
Happy Birthday to me! And <gulp>, get ready for our 30th high school reunion this summer, GSA Class of '86!
